Meet Nana's Family
A Chabotville read-along picture book.
Meet Nana's Family.
This is Nana, the President of Botsville U.S.A.
Hello, friends! Today is a very special day. My whole family is coming to visit, and I want you to meet every one of them!
Nana and Bot get ready in the garden. They set out cups and plates, flowers, and a big bowl of fruit.
Beep! Is everyone really coming, Nana?
Everyone! Let's go and say hello.
Zoom! A little airplane lands. The Steinbots have flown in from Botsberg, their faraway town!
Welcome, welcome! I'm so happy you're here!
Mr. Steinbot is a computer genius. He can fix any computer, and he helps Bot learn new tricks.
Mrs. Steinbot is a great doctor. She checks Bot from his wheels to his antennas.
Am I healthy, Doctor?
"Healthy and happy!" says Mrs. Steinbot.
And here is Baby Steinbot, in his bright blue suit. He is little, but he is magically strong!
Up goes the big suitcase, with a twinkle and a sparkle!
Wow! What a strong little helper!
Next door is Chabotville, where Nana's son, Rabbi Chabot, lives with Mrs. Chabot and the Chabot children.
Out they come, smiling and waving.
There's my son, and my wonderful grandchildren!
The Chabot home is cozy and full of books. Rabbi Chabot loves to tell stories, and the Chabot children love to listen.
Mrs. Chabot runs the preschool in Chabotville, and she helped build it back!
There she looks after lots and lots of little Chabot children, and teaches them reading, counting, and always saying thank you.
Mrs. Chabot brings a warm, golden challah to share.
Mmm! It smells delicious!
Here comes Mrs. Botcohen with Baby Botcohen, in her white and silver dress. Mrs. Botcohen loves her garden.
Baby Botcohen helps water the flowers. Sprinkle, sprinkle!
Mrs. Botcohen is also Botsville's new Children's Watchdog. She double-checks everything for the children, and makes sure Nana stays on her game!
Thank you, Mrs. Botcohen! With you watching, I always stay on my game!
Mr. Botcohen is a builder and an inventor. In his workshop, he builds amazing things out of toy bricks, one brick at a time.
A rocket! What will you invent next?
Baby Botcohen and Baby Steinbot are cousins, and they love to play together.
Click, click, click! They build a tower, taller and taller.
Careful, it's wobbly! Hooray, it stands!
At last, the whole family is together, with Nana and Bot right in the middle.
This is my family. Big and small, near and far, I love every one of you!
Beep, beep! The best family ever!
Can you remember?
How do the Steinbots get to Botsville?
What does Mr. Botcohen build with?
Who is the great doctor?
You did it!
Now it's your turn! Draw your own family.
Who is the strongest? Who loves to build? Who tells the best stories?
Tell someone one special thing about each person you love.
