The Botcoin story
Long ago, old Botsville fell apart. Nobody took care of it, and it wasn’t run well, so it ran out of money. Now a new team of bots is building a brand-new world, brick by brick, with care, good planning and no debt.
So the new bots made a careful plan for their money. They mined their own coin, called Botcoin, and every Botcoin is backed by gold, kept safe in a secret mountain vault. Bit by bit, they have built up big savings.
In the story, the bots earn Botcoins by working on building jobs around the city, save some of every Botcoin they earn, and “buy” things only with Botcoins they already have. The lessons will look at what money is, why some money is backed by something like gold, and why saving and staying debt-free help a city, and a family, stay strong.
Just pretend: Botcoin is a pretend coin in the Botsville story. It isn’t real money or a real investment, and you can’t actually buy it.
