How We Started
How Chabotville started
A story about never giving up, coming home, and building something wonderful together.

Our story
Botsville needed help
Long ago, Botsville was forgotten. The town ran out of money, things broke down, and even the plants and animals were not doing well. Things got so hard that the bot families sadly packed up and moved away.
Nana said, “Let’s not give up!”
“This is our home. Let’s fight for our town! If we all work together, we can save it!” And one by one, the families came back home to help.
Rabbi and Mrs. Chabot came home too
Nana’s son, Rabbi Chabot, and Mrs. Chabot came home with their four children. Right next door to Botsville they found a cozy spot and said, “Let’s build a neighborhood where we can learn and celebrate the holidays together.”
Building it the right way
Everybody helped, brick by toy brick: with care, good planning and teamwork. Mrs. Chabot helped build back the preschool, and BotTorah became the Chabotville school where young bots love to learn and ask questions. The Botcohens moved in nearby, too.
The first holidays
Soon Chabotville had Shabbat candles in the windows, a menorah glowing for Hanukkah, a sturdy sukkah for Sukkot, a Purim parade down the street, and a Passover Seder for the whole family. Rabbi Chabot explained each holiday, and the whole Botsville gang came to learn.
Always being built
Chabotville is still growing, just like Botsville. Real kids and families send ideas, and some become stories: Mrs. Chabot’s challah story started as an idea from a Botsville family! Botsville and Chabotville are made with love by a Nana and her grandkids.

Meet Rabbi and Mrs. Chabot

Rabbi Chabot
The wise holiday teacher
Nana’s son. He hosts the Chabotville holiday videos and explains each holiday and the beautiful meaning behind it. He loves questions: “Every question is a good question!”
Rabbi Chabot always says: “Let’s learn it together!”

Mrs. Chabot
Runs the Chabotville preschool
Rabbi Chabot’s wife. She runs the preschool in Chabotville, which she helped build back, where she looks after and teaches lots of little Chabot children. She leads the traditions at home and in the kitchen, like baking challah for Shabbat.
Mrs. Chabot always says: “Every mitzvah starts at home!”
